Specializing in Comprehensive Assessment and Individual Psychotherapy

Comprehensive Psychological Assessment
Comprehensive Psychological Assessment

I am able to provide comprehensive assessments to evaluate for ADHD, Autism, learning disabilities, intellectual disability, and complex personality/mood/behavioral concerns for individuals throughout the lifespan. Understanding the root cause of psychological symptoms can be an incredibly enlightening and validating experience. Whether your presentation is rooted in neurodivergence, complex trauma, or another origin, my goal is to make the assessment process affirming and educational so you can leave with a better understanding of yourself.

My approach to assessment work is multiculturally focused. Research has consistently demonstrated that psychological disorders may present differently depending on gender, sex, race, ethnicity, age, and other identities. Your unique identities will be integrated into the assessment process and diagnostic consideration.

Individual Psychotherapy
Individual Psychotherapy

I enjoy working with a variety of concerns and specialize in the treatment of (c)PTSD, phobias, panic, and anxiety disorders. I am passionate about working with people of diverse genders and sexualities, including those in polyamorous/non-monogamous relationships.

I value my clients’ autonomy and expertise in their own lives, and believe every human experience is unique. I integrate various treatment approaches including psychodynamic, interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-based interventions. I also utilize exposure-based practices for the treatment of PTSD, phobias, panic, and OCD.

Discussing personal details of your gender, sexuality, and/or trauma history can be a difficult and, at times, triggering experience. I invite you to share your story at your own pace. I strive to create a space that is body, kink, and sex positive, and invite you to be your authentic self in session.

Exposure Therapy
Exposure Therapy

Research has consistently shown the effectiveness of exposure therapy in treating PTSD, OCD, panic disorder, agoraphobia, phobias, and various other anxiety presentations. This treatment approach involves exposing ourselves to fear or avoided situations in order to gain mastery over our anxiety response and grow confidence and mastery in confronting feared situations. Exposure exercises can be done collaboratively with a therapist, as well as independently between therapy sessions.

Gender Affirming Care
Gender Affirming Medical Intervention Assessments and Letter of Support

Many physicians require their patients to receive a "letter of support" or "letter of readiness" to begin gender affirming medical intervention. This may be a requirement to begin hormone therapy and/or surgery. The World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH) has developed guidelines for providing these assessments and letters to patients ready to begin their medical transition.

I have extensive experience in both academic research and clinical practice regarding assessing folx for medical readiness. I am able to complete this assessment process with you and provide a letter to your physician to begin your treatment. Unfortunately, this service is not currently covered by many major insurances. I am able to offer a flexible, sliding scale fee for this service in order to make your treatment accessible.

Supervision and Trainings
Supervision and Trainings

I have experience providing supervision for trainees engaging in both therapy and assessment work. I previously worked at two training sites in Denver, and held the roles of Director of Assessment and Training and Director of Clinical Services. In these positions, I had the privilege to work with trainees at various levels of experience, including: practicum students, predoctoral interns, postdoctoral residents, LPCCs, and MFT candidates.

In addition to providing individual and group supervision to trainees, I have provided a variety of didactics and trainings to other professionals. I am able to provide trainings on various assessment measures and processes, including the Rorschach (RPAS), methods of assessing learning disabilities, autism evaluations, differential diagnostics, and more. I also offer a training on assessing clients for gender affirming medical intervention and providing letters of support.
